Line! Thats kick a*s bro! I love seeing a hard day of work, then someone being dedicated enough to go to the gym, and get a hardcore session bro!
U got my respect man, and my hats off to u, thats an insperation to me big guy!
Your delts had to be screaming after that man. That incline is big too man, that weight is looking great. Putting up that big of a military press after hitting chest so hard is impressive too man. You definetely know how to hit it hard man, smart training as always from you. Great session bro.
Evo - Thanks man, but I promise that military press will be above 225 by the end July. Promise!
MM - Yeah I was a little weirded out at first but the guy was really cool and just curious because he's never really met someone who bodybuilds at all. He's just a chest/arm kinda guy so I think seeing someone train hard and heavy sparked his curiousity a bit.
mvsf1 - Being a motivation, especially to one of my favorite guys (a sensible Team Cutler member...no way!?) on here is an awesome feeling. It means a lot buddy.
Rob - You're sickly with the flu and STD's...I'm wayyyy sexier right now ;)
BB - Thanks for checking out the log again and for the kind words. Gotta keep it intense you know? Can't let you guys down
Tweak - Thanks man, it's weird being on real equipment (ie. the stuff outside my basement LOL) but I think once I settle in we'll be seeing much bigger numbers on military regardless of what I train first.
After an exam today (crushed it!) I had about 45 minutes before to hit up legs before I had to leave for a doctor's appointment (nothing serious, needed a quick talk and perscription refill). Somethings went better than others, but considering this was my first time training legs in a real gym since the end of April I'm happy with how things went...just gotta improve next time.
Time of Workout: 12:45 pm
Meals Before Workout: 2
Location: Penn State LV Gym
Smith Machine Front Squats (Close Stance)
Set #1 - 135 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 275 pounds x 8 reps
Set #4 - 315 pounds x 4 reps...here's what pisses me off. My gym does not have a squat rack and I usually hate doing Front Squats on the Smith Machine because it's very easy for the machine to catch if you lean forward even slightly. Well I did on my fourth rep and barely got it up when in reality I had the strength for at least 2 more. I let out a big "FUCKING SMITH MACHINE!" and some old guy glared at me...oh well
Set #1 - 410 pounds x 12 reps
Set #2 - 590 pounds x 8 reps
Set #3 - 770 pounds x 7 reps...this will be increasing very soon. While bulking last year I was putting up close to a grand for reps and I expect nothing less of myself these coming months.
Superset: Leg Extensions & One-legged Leg Press
Set #1 - 140 pounds x 15 reps & 230 pounds x 10 reps each
Set #2 - 180 pounds x 10 reps & 320 pounds x 6 reps...I'm dead serious when I say that I reached failure at 6 reps and could not stand up at first, let alone perform another rep.
Seated Leg Curls
Set #1 - 120 pounds x 15 reps
Set #2 - 150 pounds x 10 reps
Set #3 - 150 pounds x 10 reps
Set #4 - 160 pounds x 8...[drop]...100 pounds x 12 reps
That's it everyone. Thanks for reading and I'll be getting those leg numbers up soon. I'm going on vacation to the Bahammas Friday-Monday and hopefully I'll be able to hit up the gym there and then update my log when I get back
Until then, hit 'em up!
shit you did all that in 45 minutes?!?! thats nutts man. Front Squat is huge, a shame about gay ass smith machine though. Leg Press is huge too man, shit aint no baby weight, no baby weight at all in your entire session man. Hitting it real hard as always, them supersets sound so damn intense, thats the way to hit it man. You smashed that session bro!
killer session of legs man .. i agree with u man .. i don't like squat on Smith Machine .. but ur numbers are great Line .. that's 700 pounds in leg press is massive :) .. keep it up the hardwork .. and sorry for not catching ur log man .. as u know i'm pretty bust these days .. but i'll make sure to check it out once i have chance :)
and yeah .. when will u go to ur vacaition man ??
Tweak - Thanks buddy, I used to get complacent with my numbers and until recently haven't really been pushing myself to get stronger until recently. Now it's kill or be killed in the gym and when I only have 45 minutes then I've got to give it my all in that time-frame. Just wait until I get a squat-rack at school...muwhahaha
LW - THE Lightweight's checking out my log?! It's an honor Mr. President and I'm glad you posted. Like I've told a lot of guys, if you like the thread now, just weight for the numbers that will be coming soon
Q - No need to apologize at all brother, I know how busy you've been and just the fact you're reading up is awesome. Thanks for the compliments on the numbers; it means a lot from you because you're one of the big reasons why I push myself so hard (can't let you make me look too bad, you know? ) Oh, I'm also starting to grow a beard. Yeahhhh Budday!
I'll be on vacation starting Thursday night (I'll post my last log session until I get back on Thursday afternoon) and will be returning sometime late monday night so expect a posted workout Tuesday! I was originally going to train down at our resort but $15 for a day pass just isn't going to happen so I'll stick with abs and some light cardio on the beach and in the pool...and work on my tan so I can be sexier than Papi Cardu ;)
BRM - It's really cool to see my mortal enemy check out my log and compliment me...once again...lay off the tight-ripped ass...that's classified info
Thanks for the vacation wishes buddy, you still got two more days to deal with me though!
Oh, BTW there will most likely be Line in the Bahamas pics upon my return so that's something for some of you guys to look forward to
Once again, I can't thank everyone enough for posting
LW - Anytime man. Just glad some more members of Team Coleman are checking out my log and sticking together; the way it should be
FF - It'd be great if you started a log, you'll be amazed at how much you push yourself and the great support you get from the guys here. I can only hope that my log has inspired you even in the slightest way; that'd definately make my day.
BB - Yeah, brother the equipment thing really pissed me off but in I know these are just more obstacles I have to overcome to achieve the goals I want to and in the end if it means getting a physique I never would've dreamed of then it's all well worth it!
mvsf1 - Nah man, no training partner for me! If I'm going really heavy I usually adjust the safety bars in the squat rack so if need be I can set the weight on there if I fail in racking the weight. During the school year though I've taken a buddy of mine under my wing and have been training and pushing him really hard and he's really taken to the iron. It's a great feeling and also great motivation. Then again, having you guys posting and encouraging me is like having a dozen workout partners all pulling for me on each set; it's truly awesome.
danimal - Thanks for stopping by man! I'll be checking out your log in the next few days because I appreciate the support and would love to return the favor.
Okay everyone, gotta ask what you think here...
Since I'm leaving on vacation on Friday I thought I could get two more session in before taking a few days off. Since I last trained Back on saturday and Bi's even before that I thought I could train them tomorrow and then Chest and Tri's on Thursday. It's true that this is not my normal routine but like Big Ron says, you gotta "make adjustments" from time to time and when you're busy like me it's really the only option.
Let me know what you all think and until next tomorrow, hit 'em hard motherfuckas!
