great job timbo with the deadlifts. I cant believe you can have a shit week and still make 190 fly up. lol
Xiva: thanks dude.
Bulky: the high reps killed me and my lower back.
Skippy: 210kg is on the cards very soon.
Philo: cheers dude.
Pickle: well I was kinda expecting for more energy, especially on the bench day. I was really looking forward to a PB and essentially failed on a weight I had pin pressed the week before.
Another session this evening as I won't get another chance this week by the look (stupid category 2 incident). I'll be on the road. My lockout sucked so I've moved over to floor presses for some heavy work.
Thick bar DB row
Miami: cheers dude. I need to get my triceps working so I can lock out a decent bench.
PV: I can smell PB's!!!
Cardio this evening. Hot muggy day, and I think I have a minor bout of gastro (resting HR this evening of 120).
So 25mins on the rower with 10mins of HIIT felt like I had just hiked the Himalayas.
The other one was a two part job. It is an old piece of iron or steel water pipe. It was rusty, but rusty in that old heavy duty way (outside corroded, inside solid as a rock) so I sanded it down a bit. I then drilled a hole for a bolt to go through. This bolt was to tie a chain with plates loaded on it. The chain was once again scrounged and attached to a bottom plate so the chain would go through the centre hole but I wouldn't have to tie anything off. The bottom plate was a 2" square piece of iron I scrounged from an old harvester blade. This stuff is rock solid. I cut the end of one chain loop, then drilled two holes to match in the iron (this actually distroyed two drill bits it was that solid) and then welded the chain in place.
Kurt: The goal is stronger Aussies so that we can continue to kick ass I think we both need to be pulling 220-230kg in the next year or so.
Anabolicus: I squat this arvo so it might be my next post.
Ben: I did the deads expecting to pull 200kg, but kept it in the tank. If I can pull well before Xmas I'll know that the hammys are all better again (if anything improved).
^^ It is actually quite easy to do. Do a search for some of the homemade equipment how-to's and you'll see what is involved.
Short session this evening. I got to my first work set of squats and just didn't feel right. So just did some other stuff since I was warmed up anyway. I'd say the gastro is still playing with me a bit.
115kg x2 PB I think.
Hypo: Thanks for stopping by.
Lance: Need some speed work in there somewhere as well.
Upper ME today.
Close grip lockouts
100kg x6x2 - was surprised I couldn't get more reps, I thought I was good for at least 15 but was obviously already done.
BB bicep curl
Thanks to Lionheart for putting me onto this band
