Strong sessions, and I hear you on the inclines. Whenever I go heavy on them I feel I press too much with my shoulders, so I try to concentrate and then I cant go as heavy. Afterall, its not powerlifting we do.
thanks heaps guys, ill drop by ur logs tomorrow. anyway here is todays leg session.:imcoolurnot:
Squats: freeweight squats today, havent done these in like forever, felt good though.
90kgx24 (breathing squats)
focused on form today, was very weird doing em freeweight again, but ill definetely up the poundage next week i didnt feel they were harder than in the smith as some people are saying though...
barbell hack squats:
20kgx15 super slow negatives and static holds for 5 secs
20kgx19 burn out set
quads were finished...
lying leg curls:
seated leg curls:
stiff leg deadlifts:
hamstrings were nice and pumped after this.
did two sets of standing calf raises to failure and two sets of seated
then 30 minutes of cardio just to get some lactic acid out of my legs...
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
Freako: thanks bro, ye i try to hit my legs from various angles, just like they deserve:)
Lance: thanks for always dropping by bud ive not decided yet, but as of now im leaning very much towards a max ot routine instead of the dorian style thingy, because of one thing, and that is my lack of a solid training partner:/ get ur ass over to norway man!!!:angrydude::keke:
Yeh man im hearing you, i would do if i could lol. you'd be a top training partner
You could still train by yourself though with the heavy duty but you'll just have to use different training techniques. but i know what you mean, it could be dangerous as well on your own if you try and go all out and beyond on your own.
exactly, i dont wanna risk any serious injury. i mean im often by myself at the gym cuz i train early before work often, and then trying to go all out on the bench press or even worse, squats without someone to spot me and/or correct me if my form goes bad, man i cant risk that. max ot is great, i get the low volume and high intesity, but going beyond failure is not required. ill decide for what to do sometime this week.
im trying m8, but its hard:crymeariver: i only did 20 sets for legs today though, what more can u expect?:carduforvip
anyways, right now im riding on a strenght wawe, since i just started bulking again, so to see if the low volume approach really work, i want to give it a try after the initial gains of just bulking up again runs out, so i may stick with my volume training alittle bit longer:wutyousay:
Ok todays session sucked balls, i had to go to the gym early as fuck, felt tired, weak, and my left shoulder was playing up on me alittle, so had to take it easy on the MP. but i got it done, and got a good pump going atleast...
Seated smith machine military press:
2 warm up sets:
75kgx5 no sets to failure, couldnt risk it with my shoulder screaming in agony...
Standing dumbell side lateral raises:
Rear delt machine:
moved on to tris, motivation was shit though...
Close grip bench press:
Straight handle pushdowns:
did some abs and got out of there, hope tomorrows workout is better and that my shoulder stops being a bitch..
Hey pal, sorry to hear about your shoulder, itl be fine, mine was hurting abit the other day and its ok now.
As far as that workout though, it looks great, i know what its like to train first thing in the morning, its fucking wank. i always train about 6 in the evening.
Great fucking presses man! you could of even got more if you WENT TO FAILURE lol
Those close-grip benches are great also man and its nice your employing a bit of drop sets in the workout
