whats up with that immune system health myth?
is it true that it supports and might strengthen your system or is it just BS ?
Welbourne T.C. Increased plasma bicarbonat and growth hormone after an oral glutamine load. American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 1995 May; 61(5):1058-61
I'll add that it inrcease plasma bicarbonat (20% after 90 minutes) and the capacity (+10%) of the kidneys to eliminate the acid in the blood (don't know how to say it right in english).
So yes its worth it but it depends why you are taking some. If it's for the immune system, the stomach, the inrcease plasma bicarbonat... i agree! But if it's for the performance, strength or muscle mass there is much better supplements. For exemple leucine in the post workout shake if i had to choose another amino acid.
