I was recently advised to join this website and like it alot so far.
I am 20yrs old and have been into BB for about 2 years now. I am 5'9" 185lbs This is my last week my bulk training I normally do the following:

Mondays-Chest
1.Bench pyramid 10repsX135lbs
8X185

4X225
2X245

2. Dumbell Fly's 8X4
3. Incline bench 8X3
4.dumbell bench/cable flys 8X4

Tuesday-Arms
1.Narrow Grip Bench 4 setsX6reps
2.Wide Grip curls 4X8
3/4.Super Set Dumbell skullchrushers w/ incline curls 3X8
5. seated overhead dumbell extensions 3X8
6. narrow grip preecher curls 3X8
7. Cable pushdowns 3X8
8. Rope cable curls 3X8

Wedsnesday- SNOWBOARDING!!!

Thursday-Legs
1.Squats 4X8-10
2.Leg Press 3X10
3. Stiff-leg dead lift 3X8
4. Quad extensions 3X25

Friday- Back
1.Wide grip pull ups 3X10
2.T-Bar 4X8-12
3. Dumbell Rows 3X10
4. Rack Pulls 3X8

That's what I got! Love feed back please post suggestions, However the moral of the story is that I am begging to train for a competition that starts in almost exactly 2 months...SO what i'm really looking for is some tips of cutting weight properly and retaining muscle. This is my first ever, I'm a comp. virgin but love setting goals and pushing myself. So let me know what you think and hopefully send some feedback.

Welcome to the boards. You will find tons of useful information here, but to further help you with the dieting and getting ready for the show, we need to know how and what you eat at the moment (how many meals per day, what type of food etc) and pictures. It would help tremendously too see how far out you are.

Snowboarding is great. Did it a few times indoor but never had the chance to do it outside. Btw good luck with your log m8.

Well I hope you have a large note pad and a pen with plenty of ink cuz i'm about to tell you all the things you need to improve....
Just playin homie. Chest is looking good. those arms and traps just need a lil more size and we gots to figure you out how to do that rear lat spread!

He is competing in the same show that is did and in the class that I won last year.

btw guys: He has awesome insertion points for his biceps that will make for a nasty peak when he gets a lil more size!

Thanks Philosopher I'm workin hard and puttin on the lbs!

Prince V I just turned 20 Jan 30th the iam about 5'9" and wieght 185 lbs. I was eating 3500-4000 cals a day and mainly chicken, tuna, bread, bagels, serious mass protein(1230 cal with water!) cottage cheese, whole milk,oats, pb&j, and the occasional wendy's run. However now that i'm 2 months out from show time i'm trying to stay right around 3500 i'm cutting out the peanut butter and whole milk and of course the wendys, also i've stopped taking creatine and am thinking about cycling some rip tabs..any advice??

Looks like u are really serious and focused! nice to see that! i think its a good idea to get rib of the pb and whole milk because of the diet...have u been using any fat burning supp at the moment?other then that u look pretty on track man!!keep it u and keep us posted!

yeah man i love it and try and stay as dedicated as i can! i'm not taking any fat burners right now but before the show i will probably do a cycle of ripped tabs...it's a fat burner and a prohormone so i'll hopefully be able to keep as much muscle as possible! thanks again for the encouragement i'll keep you posted!

Was gonna ask why you don't seem to do any direct shoulder work but then saw you added overhead press to your routine! :xyxthumbs:

With regard to the pyramidding on bench (or any exercise for that matter). It might be worth trying a coupld of light warm ups then going straight for a couple of main sets rather than wasting energy on submaximal sets! Just a thought! Good log though.
