Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.
A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.

Checking port 5199 on 69.57.241.250...

Error! Port 5199 does not appear to be open.

Please see www.portforward.com for more information about how to map a port.

Please make absolutely sure that PeerGuardian2 or Protowall is allowing utorrent.com (72.20.34.145) in either of those programs. Those of you using ipfilter.dat should make sure the list does not include the website's IP. After making sure of this, re-run this test by refreshing the page (F5).

PS: i tried using various ports that i entered on utor but still no luck

i have 63xxx in my preferences.you should be able to be in that range too.i believe you need a higher number then what you are using, maybe.you need to set the same number in the base port and host port in your router settings.

tcp
ie.6000
6000

also you PROBABLY need to allow your firewall to let utorrent connect also.

that's most likely the cause - especially if you're running zonealarm or even window's based firewall. You need to "allow all" for utorrent

right now i have my router at 6000 and also the utor. but when i check if its open it says it isnt. there is even a small yellow triangle at the bottom of the window saying there is a problem

can you make your desktop abit larger for now?its hard too see your pics

why is there 2 utorrent apps/ports open?why is there 2 different ip's?
use one and use the 25xxx number and make sure your using the right ip.

also is it possible just to direct connect to your modem instead of using the dlink

edit again-ok i think i can make this fool proof.go to utorrent port checker and run it.that will give you your real ip.use the 25xxx port number in your router with that ip.run the port tester again and it should work.

i followed the directions to set up static ip as the dlink router wants that so i didnt everything it said
i correct ip it told me is 192.168.0.136
i dont know how to access my modem itself.

should i use the 6000 or the 25xxx port?

here is what i got

Welcome to the µTorrent Port Checker.
A test will be performed on your computer to check if the specified port is opened.

Checking port 25566 on 69.57.241.237...

Error! Port 25566 does not appear to be open.

so my external ip is what is given above (69.57.241.237)
i entered that in my port forwarding

according to speedtest.net, while the utor was on it gave me:
dl: 449kb/s
upl:25kb/s
and used 25566

i got the same message that it isnt open
