In 1990 Vince McMahon tried to venture beyond the confines of professional wrestling and created the World BodyBuilding Federation, The WBF. WBF BodyStars was a weekly television program that aired weekends in 1992 on USA Network as a means to promote the brand (the same formula that was used to support the WWF and it's Pay-Per-View model). The show featured the training lifestyles of the bodybuilders, a variety of skits and offered general bodybuilding and health-related advice. In an effort to get the WBF more exposure, the WWF was cross-promoted with the WBF for viewership by placing WWF stars in a "guest-star" role on the WBF program. Efforts to gain an audience aside the WBF did terrible buyrates for it's Bodybuilding PPV and ratings for Bodystars dropped. On July 15, 1992 McMahon announced that the WBF was disbanding. This segment of Bodystars is perhaps the most memorable thing to have happened in the program and largely because of it's massive WWF influence.
