During contest prep I'd hit the bathroom 18+ times a day, of course, this was during the sodium loading stage.
Anyway, if you're drinking severely too much water, depending on body composition, if electrolytes do not accompany the fluid intake, you could cause your body to go into water intoxication. The average adult can process a large amount of water in the kidney's so I'm sure that's not a problem...just a heads up.
Good amount of water in food also. Drink to keep yourself well hydrated throughout the day in my opinion.

Try drinking 500 ml each time u drink water to fully satisfy ur thirst....i dirnk moest of my water druing training...about 2 liters if u count the water i use to mix my protein...but 3 gallons is too much...try drinking 2 gallons spread evenly throughout the day and drink a lot during and after training...!
