Agree with Tony. The cheat meal isn't just a "free-be" for Max. It actually raises the most fat incinerating hormone...leptin.

If you seem to be stalling losing weight, I'd cut all cheat meals. Whether you go into catabolism, the time in which you do won't be that long so there's no need to worry. Trust me, catch up pre contest sucks. Sucks badly.
From what i've seen, max is cheating with meals like donuts and junk food. Max is too far behind for that kind of nonsense. At least eat something that could be beneficial like a homemade burger, a big plate of pasta, or a couple of bagels. Just because Palumbo says "go ahead and eat whatever you want for a cheat" doesn't mean that's what is best, especially in Max's case.

The cheat meals for Dave's diet are listed some where. I also think they have been revised to no more than 300 grams of carbs.
Max are you taking your cheat meals on the exact same day each time you take them?
Where he is at right now a donut isn't gonna hurt him especially on a ketosis diet. But I did tell him to make sure the main part of his meal was a good carb source.
Beau- As Ive stated 10 times his meals are based off brown rice, potatoes or pasta. He has either like a donut of a slice of pizza. Did you even see that in his post he was eating 2 cups of rice or did you just see the donut and oreos and jump to conclusions. He is at what now 12 1/2 weeks out? If his physique isnt coming along at 10 weeks out we will take out the pizza or donuts.
