I'm with Skeptic here...

:uhoh2:

I think I actually preferred St Anger to this, and the whole of St Anger blew.

I just think they have lost the inspiration and drive they used to have. Their music used to really grab me, now it is like the rest of the background noise. Not that this is a bad song, just not at the same level as their excellent earlier works.

Meh.

I preferred just about everything off of Master of Puppets. Although for the record Load and Reload weren't bad albums (Reload had a lot of filler though).

Song sounds like a cross between a cut from the Black album, load and ...and justice both in composition and production.

Not great - they have definately lost their edge.

MOP FTW!

i like the fact that theyve made an attempt to try to create GOOD metallica again... but i think they are just too far gone... and have zero edge anymore.

I like Load, Reload is ok the others were crap. I think the reason I like Load is that it actually is just a good rock album, but that pisses off metal fans as they see it as going commercial. So if you treat it as rock and not metal (i.e. they have actually evolved over their 30 year career) then it is quite good.

Having said that though I do prefer their earlier works. But hearing their old material played live a few years ago, I think they sound better now.

This was my 3000th post. Only took a few years.
