SHAWN RAY SAID IT HERE...

Ronnie Coleman announced yesterday in Illinois, at a Guest Posing Appearance that he in fact "Will be competing in this years' Mr. Olympia!"

Your thoughts? ________________________

I personally feel, there is no where to go but down from here, like 8,9 or 10th which at the advanced age of 45 still is not too bad but not worthy of a KING!

Thanks for the memories Ronnie but this will be painful for me to watch.

Meh, I respect him for doing what he loves, but I think the difference between this time and the last time he competed is that it won't be nearly as much about him. The last time, his 4th place was a gift, and everyone basically gave him a going away send off reception.

Don't get me wrong, he will still be welcomed on his routine and such, but he's not gonna get the callouts, or the treatment he once did.

As long as he doesn't get any sort of microphone to make another retirement speech. It would just be wrong to do that after going out in 2007 like he did. Bad decision.

I wonder if they'll hype Cutler/Coleman this year or David Henry/Coleman.

damn... that sux. ronnie is my favorite bodybuilder ever and it would be lame to see him go down like that. he lost with such honor on his last appearance and i would rather have him leave honorably or fade away

As far as I am concerned he is a champ based not on his placing but on his personality, work ethic and respect earned and given to other pros throughout his career.Whatever he chooses to do we can only support him. It is the least we can do after all he has given us.When, and if, he steps back on that stage I will be there to cheer him on.

I hope he does well, but I doubt it and it will be sad to see.
