What would be the Average to maximum use of sets with each muscle group?

It depends on which muscle group and the individual. I'm only speaking for myself on this one. For larger muscle groups like legs, chest, and back I tend to use higher volume (depending on the day) at around 15 sets. For smaller muscle groups I use around 10-12 sets.

I train by how I feel so I never have a exact amount of sets I use per body part.

For legs probably 20+, Chest and back about 15-20, tris about 10 and bis and abs around 4-6.

Depends.

More about how many reps and the like you can fit into a session.

Plenty of weightlifting research to say that about an hour is the max effective training time. So if you do a set a minute (unlikely but hey) then you are looking at a max of 60 sets.

Also are you including warmups? Are you including sets below productive (60% for beginers, 75% for everone else).

well anywhere between 6 - 12 reps
not including warm up sets


here is a rough idea of what i currently do

Chest - 12 sets
back - 12 sets
shoulders - 12 sets

20 for all muscles. Beeger ones like legs, back, even 20+ sets.
High volume and high weights is name of the game ... imo :thumbsup2:

i like to do anywhere between 10-20 sets on chest over the course of the week with at least double the ammount of sets for back

everything else would be lucky to receive 6 sets a week.
