I don't understand it, he trains hard but can't seem to gain weight. Lately, when he does gain weight, it's fat! It makes no sense, because his diet is pretty good. He's about 5'9" and 160 pounds.
Diet so far today-
WAKE UP (8 a.m.)
Meal 1 (8:30 AM) - 1 banana, 1 cookie
Meal 2 (1:30 PM) - 1 nutty buddy bar
Meal 3 (2:30 PM) - 1 piece of coffee cake
Meal 4 (5:00 PM) - 1 ham sandwich (no bread...he's out of bread)
TRAIN (8 PM) - hitting legs later
Post workout, he'll probably replenish muscle glycogen with a small glass of root beer, and maybe another cookie. That won't be until around 10:30, so he'll head to bed not too long after that. Besides, he'll probably be too full because of the ham sandwich at 5.
I don't see what we're doing wrong, can anyone help us!?
