Great workout today, energi was in top!
Bill starr, week 4, training 1
Rear lateral raise
Barbell curls - Semi cheat - Slow negativ phase :)
Standing calf raise
15x210kg -> 15x180kg -> 15x150kg -> 15x120kg -> 15x90kg -> 15x60kg -> 15x30kg -> 15xBW
2x Rotator manchet
1x Scapulair pushups
- 2 Sets
Note: Super round, with 2 PR's not bad!
I dunno about the extremely heavy db rows....I've used some pretty solid numbers and I love db rowing but I don't think cheating where I am relying heavily on torso rotation to pull the weight up is such an awesome idea. After all, the purpose of a strong upper back (for me) is to pull a heavy weight off the floor. Cheating at it when it doesn't help me is kinda useless and just an ego stroker. But then, it does depend on what ones goals are.
I agree that grip training can feel like an add-on to training, but it can also be great fun: farmers walks, thick bar pulls, watching some ass clown try and close your gripper while you were getting a drink and seeing him try with both hands........
Awesome work on the PB's Mike!
