Depends how severe. I've been training with a bit of a sore throat all week... but otherwise I feel fine.

If its pretty severe then I lay off the training till I get better.

If I can get out of bed and out the door I will train, but at a reduced intensity level of course.

cool, i might bench a little bit tomorrow then. I have a sore throat :/ its been gradually getting worse, on top of that i been getting bad allergies

LOL i just didnt want to make it worse by putting extra stress on my itty bitty body. I got a bench here at home i havent used in years, maybe ill dust it off and i wont have to travel to the gym

You are causing your body stress when training. Depending on how crap you feel this stress may help or hinder.

My rule of thumb is that if I'm sick enough that I don't feel like warming up or I can't do a dozen chinups without getting dizzy/breathless then I'll give it a miss.

yeah im not that bad, mostly just a bad sore throat. My body doesnt feel too exausted. ill hit a few sets on the bench and rub one out or two

I was just asking because maybe there is something that i dont know about training while ill and wanted some input.

yeah i wasnt gonna go to the gym, i was just thinking about working out at home.

When?

Overtraining is only an issue if you are really sick or you overdo it.

But then again overtraining is more about under-recovery than anything.

couldn't continue with the deads after warmup... my hand was fucked up..

olnly was able to do some pullups.. and some high rep db rows..:shakefist:

Be carefull dude. I fucked my ankle up the same way. Just dont know when to quit and now its chronic.

yeah philo... I'm going to stay at home today to recover better... I wish I'll be able to crack up a fairlly decent chest session tomorrow.
