I think this has been done before but I'm going to start a new thread anyway. What are your goals for training, competing, etc?

Goals
Short Term: next few months

Mid Term: next couple of years

Long Term: next 5-10 years

Short Term: 200kg Squat, 225kg Deadlift, 140kg Bench.

Mid Term: Move to a better gym, get competition training, compete.

Long Term: 250kg Squat, 270kg deadlift, 180kg bench.

Goals
Short Term:
  • Rehab shoulder
  • Squat 3x200kg
  • Deadlift 250kg
  • Press something
  • Lose some bf% so I can comfortably fit into my wedding suit as I'm best man at my mate's wedding in a couple of months

Mid Term next couple of years
  • Compete in powerlifting
  • See my abs before I'm 30
  • Continue to improve lifts and get my pressing back to its former glory
  • Buy a prowler and kill myself
  • Try MMA again

Long Term next 5-10 years
  • Make an elite raw total
  • Squat 250kg for reps
  • Bench 200kg
  • Deadlift 300kg
  • MP 150kg
  • Open a strength training facility with my training partner
  • Maybe try a strongman comp...
  • Stay injury free

Short term: (couple months)
-140kg squat
-105kg clean and jerk
-75kg snatch
-125kg front squat
-Compete in the fall

I don't really have any long term goals. I like to try to reach my small goals one by one.

short term : reach 95 kg keeping my bf has it is now.

mid term: compete in bb, diet down to 80 something depending on the weight class.

Goals
Short Term:
  • Lose about 8 more pounds -- get laid a lot for having awesome abs.
  • Bench over 300 again.
  • Squat over 400 again.
  • Deadlift over 400 again.
  • Drink less.

Mid Term:
  • Remain lean year round.
  • Bench 350 for first time.
  • Squat over 500 again (at much lower bodyweight than before).
  • Deadlift over 500 again (at much lower bodyweight than before).
  • Graduate, get ASCM certified, find some sort of job.
  • Get teaching cert and phys ed degree masters.

Long Term:
  • Possibly compete in bodybuilding.
  • 600 club on big lifts?
  • Kill Peter Pan

What I'm currently at:
Squat: 470lbs
Bench: 340lbs
Deadlift: 585lbs

Goals for end of August:
Squat: 500lbs+
Bench: 365lbs+
Deadlift: 615lbs+

(These lifts are all raw, no suits/wraps)

Short Term:
Get leaner, lose about 10 or so pounds.
Improve my 3 main lifts: Hopefully get close to 300 bench, 400 squat, 500 deadlift.

Midterm:
Stay lean, keep abs visible.
Improve 3 main lifts: Hopefully +300lb bench (325 maybe?), +400squat(425-450?), +500 deadlift(550?).
Compete in raw PL meet

Short Term: 200 kg squat, 140 bench press and 225kg deadlift at 68~70kg bodyweight.

Mid Term: stay lean; reach 75kg bodyweigth; compete in Powerlifting.

Long Term: elite total.

Short term : get leaner, maybe do a depletion.


Mid term : Bench : 170 kg Squat : 200 kg deadlift : 230 kg, stay lean and built more muscle on my frame.



Long term : compete in BB, get bigger, get stronger & stay lean year around.

my ultimate dream goal in training is

preacher cur with ez bar 120kg 265lbs for single..

my best is 110kg 242lbs for single.. last time i did 102kgx6 reps maybe tommorow i will try 115kg

Compete in a BBing show before I turn 21.

My Goals:

Short Term: Do my first shows in BB (first is in 4 weeks).After that increase musclemass before my diet for my second show i december starts.

Mid Term: Start winning shows, compete in USA. And make a name in th sport.

Long Term: Earn a IFBB-pro card, compete on the Olympia Stage!

This is my goals and dreams, laugh all you want :) But everything starts with a tought and dream...

You tried mma? did you have a fight or just trained mma? You'd fight as a light heavyweight no? If you want someone to practice ground and pound or ur takedowns etc you can try on me.

My goal is to start competing, should do my first contest in 2011 or 2012, depending on my progress, my goal, to become Pro, even if it will take 10 years or more, I will make it one day, I know I have what it takes.

My goals have suddenly changed after reading a few posts here:

I've decided that I'm now aiming to do this:

Short term
I'm going to give up science - what has it ever given us anyway
Start a cycle of AAS - cause I is not hoouge nough
Focus solely on getting hoouge - because nothing else in my life could ever be as important

Mid term
Get ripped and lean and compete in a local show
Post pics of me in a towel here

Long term
Become the next Mr O
