Btw, I didn't spot the metalcore genre.

Some genres are really well represented with examples, whilst others have some lesser examples. E.g. Thrash doesn't have some of the eponymous tracks by Metallica and Slayer, but instead some of their other songs.

They did include venom, kreator and voivod into the essential thrash though, kinda makes up for it.
