Hey guys,

I am really trying to find the time to get back into shape. I need to get motivated and I need an easy plan to get started? IU figured this would be a good question to get things started in this forum?

How did you guys get into body building in the first place and how would you suggest an old bastard like myself gets started? I was never a body builder but I used to work out often and I was pretty cut. Now I am what ever the opposiote of cut is.. haha Help me please..lol

Need to know what your current level!
And what kind of things have you done!
Regarding training and nutrition
And depending on that I will deliver a summary of how you do!

Thanks Coach, so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. My current level is bad. I used to do benching, curling, jogging...basically everything. I used to eat low carbs, high protein...etc but over the last 5 years I have been lazy and have gotten fat. I really need to start over. My body used to be more cut then big. Now though I am at the point where if I do not shape up I will face some serious health concerns.. Once I get going again I know I will be ok but I need that motivation to get started and get through the first month. If I can do that I will be well on the way and will be posting pictures here with in a year...Not anything that will compare with you guys but will be a big improvement over what I look like now.

I need one of you guys to fly over here and train me full time... haha

Oh great!
Watch as I said in some thread for Pain too!
Always attempt seminars that people take my best advice!
That is "Do something that you can repeat for life, forever!"
I've seen routines that can make you feel bad about just seeing them!

But what I mean is only train you need to be good!
And have a nice physique, and you're happy with yourself!
That will put you in a state of comfort always
So these will not miss never be near being fit!

This does not mean you do not have present your goals!
Just go at a moderate pace also always let you get!
And get comfortable, injury free and participating in all your daily activities!
With your work and family!

Look for my taste with 12-18 hours of strength training per month
Will be more than enough.
Including a cardio workout Stretching-Ab-free weight in the morning every day. also 45-60 min.

The exercise routine should be performed in a gym!
So you'll be much more motivated!
Anyway for motivation aTotal always need a partner!
So when you are unmotivated have a great support in this!
And many other things necessary and break the pain barrier!
help you move bigger weights
A number of benefits!

Routine .. Ideal to start!
Consists of basic exercises!
With comfort and Very-light weight, thus maintaining the high reps of 15-20.
And a Intermediate volume of 3-4 sets per exercise

The position of the week every muscle will depend instinctively how you feel! .. By fatigue and time!

But it always starts at the micro-macro for big muscles!
And as the week goes sees working with the smaller muscles!

Part in routine or micro happens the same
Try to follow this principle always start with the big muscles!
So either way warrant be without injury!
And working biomechanically correct!

For my taste when I've been a long time without training!
Beginning a few weeks without the small muscles!
Just work your legs, chest, back!
So in this way will give enough time to the joints
And unions to be ready for war!

And when this happen these two weeks it can work this way:

Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Chest-Back
Thursday: Off
Friday: Shoulders-Arms
Saturday: Off
Sunday: Off

And a new cycle can go after this alternating
Training 4-5 days per week!
And so to work one or two extra days to give more priority to the target muscle!

I will be attentive to your comments ..BiG Hug

well one style i like is something like "DC training" *google it and read blog*

I do something like this but more reps and i lift for 30-50min till i cant. but my style is close and it has worked well for me getting mass.

also only workout 3X a week for mass.
but it seems you want to trim down, for that i suggect you research: "carb cycling for fatloss" I like it also
GOOD LUCK!!
and hang in there!
its tuff at first, but it will start to flow.

I started out after a car accident and i was in rehab for 2 years from it (body rehab not drugs) then took it on my own afterwards and never looked back.

Oh .. that good!
after an accident is quite difficult to take any trend!
That's one of the great things I admire about this sport!
The amount of people that is imposed on the tribulations!
And can break a goal after another .. without any barriers!

Thank you for participating in the forum, friend blergs!

Great. And start slowly and gradually increase your tempo over time. Pressups are a good place to start. Besides, as one ages, the more important it is for fitness activity.
