    March 24 2008

    CARDIO HELL 2 - Completed.

    AM
    20 minutes of stretching
    20 minutes of ab work

    PM
    20 minute walk
    10 minutes stretching
    30 minute run
    30 minutes stairmaster
    30 minute run
    30 minutes stairmaster
    5 minutes stretching
    20 minute walk

    Total distance = around 20km
    Total cals burned = over 2000

    That was the toughest cardio session I've ever had to go through. After 30 minutes of running I felt like giving up but I just grinded it out till the end. I had to drink around 4 litres of water during those 2 hours. The 20 minute walks is just walking to the gym and back.

    I actually can't wait till june 27 so I don't have to do this again. lol.

    Words fail me. That was an awesome display of sheer determination. Energy and cardio skills great yes but to get through something like that take proper motivation and determination. You've got no worries when you start your training with chutzpah like that!

    I'm about to head out for a cardio/weight training workout. I've only had 4 hours sleep and feel too tired go.

    In the AM I did.

    30 minute boot camp ab workout
    pull ups - 2 second pause at top and 4 seconds on the negative
    15 sets of 2

    I feel pretty much %100 now.

    I think anyone could do that, its just doing it thats the problem.

    Dips on the dip machine
    6 x 6 reps bodyweight

    Bench dips
    20 reps / with 20kg plate
    20 reps / with 20kg plate
    15 reps / with 20kg plate

    bb skull crushers
    10 reps / 20kg
    10 reps / 20kg
    10 reps / 20kg

    Incline db bench press
    26kg x 15
    26kg x 10
    24kg x 10

    Thanks! Are you a believer in working on negatives to improve pull up numbers? btw, those were dead hangs I did.

    I just bought a door gym to do pull ups. Can't wait to try it out.
