great session, front squats and deads are great, 120kgx3 for that many sets is awesome, i wanna c 130 kg next week

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
    I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

20kg comfortable jump on fronts - nice.
Lots of sets of deads. Also nice.
    Leg curl - nice.

    Nice.

    Nice.

todays session, it was suppose to be fullbody

    Olympic Squats
    2 Minute Bicycle Warmup
    Light Knee Extensions
    Hip Warmups
    45x10
    135x6

    220x2
    220x2
    220x2
    220x2
    220x2

Walked to the drinking fountain, walked back. During a step I felt this sudden discomfort that made me wince a bit. Lower left portion of my back. Went down along the left side of my thigh and left calve.

It's only progressively gotten worse as time passes. I walked into work with a mild limp, now its become a bit more severe.

    Bench Press
    Rotator Cuff Warmups
    45x10
    135x6
    135x10
    135x10

I don't know why I did this. I suppose I did it to see if it put strain on my back but I told myself, these exact words too. "I have one body, I have plenty of time to workout" Possibly one of the smartest things I've said to myself

I actually have a shipment of 117 boxes in the back, I've done what I can but walking/carrying/lifting boxes. Then bending down to put them on shelves is a hassle. I don't care how angry my boss gets, it's not like I'm refusing to try.

I don't know what to do, I presume its a nerve problem of sort (thus the feeling down my thigh and calve)
I can't/wont go to the doctor. I 1.) dont have insurance 2.) don't have a few hundred dollars to pay for the visit.

I think my body is trying to tell me I'm not destined to squat or deadlift. I've had 3 lower back problems now in....4 years now? It's really a shame.

The biggest difference between you and me is you're you, and I'm me. I always win. Sorry bro.

I can admit you've got a few good things there at the states, but i wouldn't change spanish social security for those. You know, I see having free medical care so normal that i'm shocked every time i read something like that. So there in the states when you sign up a contract your employer doesn't have to pay for a medical insurance?
Anyway twek i wish you get better soon, and if it keeps hurting you better spend those few hundreds, your health is your best investment.

    Good luck.

so the split is garbage you say? Tell that to Tunen.

not gaining strength? even though I gradually gain strength week to week?

Storm - my employer doesn't have to pay anything. If I went into the hospital right now, all the doctor would do is ask me to attempt to bend, balance, stretch. Then he'd take an x-ray of my back. He'd then prescribe me some pain reliever, tell me I have a strained back (exactly what happened a few years ago) Then when the bill comes I'd owe nearly 300 dollars

    ^^

bad news. Here not only you can go to visit a doctor whenever you need it, last week I and every workmate got a complete check (blood test, urine test, vision, blood pressure and such) by my job insurance. Sure we pay it in our taxes but i think it worth it. Different ways of doing things, I suppose .

Anyway best wishes with your back, and btw i think your routine is pretty solid, it seems these days that half the people in this board can outcurl ronnie coleman himself.

God damn, i hope u get over this pain, i know it sucks to say but maybee u should jsut take off for a week or two give ur body a rest, between all the full body workouts u do, heavy weights, tough exercises like benching, squats and deads, ur body prolly needs to take off some time. Hope u feel better

I took a week off maybe 3 weeks ago though

thats why I'm pretty frustrated. I think my body is trying to tell me I'm not destined to deadlift or squat

^ idk deads and squats are just so rough on every part of the body, thats why most people do neither, or if they do squats go down an inch cuz their so hard to do full reps. Keep us updated on how u feel, maybee just a painful day in general maybee it will feel better next time around ??

damn tweak, i hope it works out for u this shit, ur damn healthcare system is just fucked! u should have lived in norway:coolguy:

just take it easy and listen to ur body, if it tells u that u cant squat or deadlift then dont, they are good exercises but not a necessity, many pro bbers dont use them at all, u can still build a great body without them.

tweak i didnt know u were sore bro. about the doctor. just move to australia i swear i never pay to goto the doctor and i could probably talk my mum into paying for you if you had to pay something at the doctor

whats the latest development on the injury? better or worse? you gonna train squat and deadlift still?

  16. #1852
That sucks shit about your back. With a lot of box lifting I can see where that could stem from. Hope it is nothing that won't resolve over time. Regardless of the weight you're lifting the strain that lifting boxes puts on your back still isn't good. Hope you persevere with the deads and squats. Mine never seem to really increase by much but I still do 'em cos I hope that there's still some benefit.

If you get bed ridden though, I'll look after you.

Took some ibuprofen, which eased the pain a bit enough to get me through this workout.

    Bench Press
    Rotator Cuff Warmups
    45x10
    135x6

185x4 <-- stronger then last week
    185x4
    185x4
    185x4
    185x3
    170x5
    170x5

Pullups - not weighted for obvious reasons
4 sets of Myself for 10 reps

    Front Raises - nope

Seated Db Press - went light as even this I could feel the discomfort
    45x10
    45x10
    45x10

    Lying Db Skullcrushers
    30x10
    30x10
    30x10

Db Shrugs - had to be careful with these as an awkward step would hurt quite a bit
    75x15
    75x15
    75x15

    Behind Back Wrist Curls

    65x25
    65x25
    65x25

Aftermath - ibuprofen really helped. I had so much energy today I really had to hit the gym, and I even got stronger on bench which really pleases me next session won't be until Friday, gonna rest up.

Damn that sucks your lower back and left leg is bothering you. You seem to never get away without the pain. When I start bulking, I will soon enough be dominating you. muahahahaa. Your sessions still look very productive. Nice job on the bench also.

I will try to post in here more often, i will try and make it mandatory as i dont post very often anyway.
