Yea I have some updates for you guys.

I just came off nearly 2 weeks of rest and my body feels great, nice and refreshed. That was the first break I've taken since last December or January so it was certainly needed.

For those of you that don't know I'm currently on the USS Wasp (I'm on the Navy) so I'm hitting the gym via "out to sea"

Here was my workout earlier, now...what's interesting about free weights and the boat is depending on how the boat is pitching or rolling the weight can feel quite a bit heavier than it actually is, which is kind of funny and mentally frustrating all at once.

    Chest and Traps

    Flat Bench
    Rotator Cuff Warmups
    45x10
    135x10
    225x10
    265x8
    255x8
    245x8
    225x10

    Flat Db Press
    100x12
    100x12
    100x12
    100x12

    Hammer Strength Chest Press
    1 Plate a Side x12
    2 Plates a Side x12
    2 Plates a Side x12
    2 Plates a Side x12

    Db Shrugs
    75x12
    85x12
    100x12
    100x12
    100x12

That is all, tomorrow is Lats and Triceps, after some very needed sleep.

The biggest difference between you and me is you're you, and I'm me. I always win. Sorry bro.

hey guys, quick little update. I haven't been posting because the internet out to sea is extremely slow. I've still been hitting the gym regularly, so don't worry. As far as weight gain and being on the boat it's not going well, I figure as long as I stay between 210 and 220 I'll be fine. That way, once I get back home and eating like I was I should blow up to 230 pretty easily, succes.

For those of you wondering where I am, I'm off the coast of the Dominican Republic right now. Once I get off the boat I'll post plenty of pictures. I don't get off the boat until late December though. blah.

shoutouts to Ironslave, Line, Blake, Tim, Tech, Papi, and everybody else. Yes, even you Miami and Dryden.

210-220 would be a good weight to maintain.

But the question is, do you get to deadlift and squat? Oh and of course, how is life on the boat?

Remember Tim I cannot deadlift or squat due to back issues, but if I were able to do either I could not squat as there is no rack what so ever. I think the constant pitching and rolling of the boat would be awful for the knees. Sometimes it even makes bench pressing quite difficult. Deadlifting, you can always deadlift, put the bar on the ground and go.

Life on the boat is alright, working 12 on 12 off can be tedious but the work load isn't too heavy. We have some major maintenance in another month though so we'll have a span of maybe 3 days where we'll be working much more consistently, other then that it's kind of boring. I work out on shift though so it's nice, usually from 2:30am to 4am, shower, go sign off whatever paper work I have, eat breakfast at 5:30 and go to bed afterwards.

Boat life is pretty simple, especially on my shift, nobody on the boat really works my shift so I'm basically a ghost around here, nobody knows who I am and that's how I like it.

Thanks for asking Tim. Hope all is well with you.

It's about that time for me, another hour and I'll be in the gym.

I completely forgot about your back

I was wondering how steady things would be on such a big boat.

As for me, I get married in 2.5 weeks.

hey what's up guys. Alright, so, somehow I've managed to lose more weight than expected. I guess all the stairs and walking I do on the boat does that to me. I haven't lost any strength, well other than the strength I lost after being sick which was only 10-20lbs depending on the exercise (flat bench and military press mostly) which is ok. The exact number I won't throw out just yet, but it's all coming from my gut which is great, I'm starting to do some cardio and out of curiosity I'm going to see how lean I can get while I'm out here. I know, I know, very Max-ot of me.

I'll keep you guys updated. only 40ish more days left out to sea and back to land I go.

    what do you want Steve?

btw, did you get laid for your b-day?

My training updates, I've been doing cardio regularly, dropping some good bodyfat and almost starting to enjoy how I look again. Walking is easier, going up stairs is easier, everything is easier. My knees have been thanking me, it's kind of nice not carrying all the extra weight around.

strength has gone down a bit but I'm not really concerned, which is probably a first for me. I'm very content and it's nice.

100kg, the heaviest I've ever been in my life, also the strongest I've been but sacrifices certainly come with that weight, especially in regards to my joints.
