Line and Glex might be hitting up the gym tonight. We've both been busy, everyone. Finals weeks is next week for us. I'll be going at least, and I would bet Line will go even if he doesn't come with me.

Tweak - I'll be putting up 225 soon, don't you worry. It's just a movement I haven't done in awhile. As for the rows with 120's, you know the dilemma I face with gripping those weird-ass dumbbells of ours

Chesty - LOL as always! As for the reps on the DB rows, it was a combination of slightly more rest and a better grip. I also sorta stopped myself on the first couple sets but wanted to take the last one to failure.

Scoular - Right now I'm 21 and somewhere between 212-215 pounds. There really isn't a working scale anywhere that I have access to on campus (funny because our campus holds 40,000 people) but I'll be able to weigh myself when I go home next week. Also, for shoulder pressing, I'm lucky enough to be able to do them in a power rack and adjust the safety bars so that the weight starts just below my chin; making them easier to do. Props to you on having to get the weight off the floor first, that gives me a lot more respect for your presses. As always, I appreciate you stopping by, means a lot to me, bro.

Fallen - Yeah bro, I hate having to rush through my workouts but I prefer it so much to working out early in the morning. Thanks for the compliment on my Military Press, hopefully we'll be seeing that for two plates soon.

Tweak, BB, Chesty - I hate you guys. You guys are assholes. Especially Chesty. I hate him the most. Sing along! You all know the words! I hate you guys...

TO - Always appreciate you stopping by. Being pressed for time sucks, like Tweak said, it actually felt like a cardio session...and I hate cardio.

Mak - LOL, it'd be awesome to train with anyone from the site, even a dirty Kiwi like yourself Glad you stopped by, bro. Thanks as always!

FF - Glad you enjoyed the session. Hopefully I won't be as short on time during my next session so I can throw around some more heavy ass shit! LOL

Okay, well classes are done for me until mid-January (good news). I still have three final exams to take but they really shouldn't be all that bad. I'm really looking forward to going home and spending time with the family, as well as working out with my training partners from High School (sorry, Glex). My sleep schedule has still been fucked as hell (I slept from 4am-11am yesterday, then slept from 6:30pm-11:30pm last night, then from 5am-8am this morning) but I managed to get a session in after class. Here goes...

    Date: 12.15.06

    Time: 9:30 am

    Duration: 1 hr 10 min

    Chest
    BB Flat Bench
    Set #1 - 135 pounds x 15 reps
    Set #2 - 185 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #3 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #4 - 225 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #5 - 225 pounds x 7 reps
...no spotter, didn't want to risk it
    Set #6 - 135 pounds x 15 reps

    Incline DB Press
    Set #1 - 90 pounds x 6 reps...WTF?!
    Set #2 - 80 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #3 - 80 pounds x 8 reps

NOTE: I honestly was pumped and tight as hell after flat bench. I thought I'd have more in me for incline but oh well, I still pushed myself to my physical limit for today.

    ...60 seconds fascia stretching...

    Triceps
    Hammer Strength Dips
    Set #1 - 180 pounds x 15 reps
    Set #2 - 230 pounds x 12 reps
    Set #3 - 270 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #4 - 320 pounds x 8 reps
    ...PB
    Set #5 - 180 pounds x 25 reps

    Lying DB Skull Crushers
    Set #1 - 35 pounds x 10 reps
    Set #2 - 40 pounds x 7 reps
    Set #3 - 40 pounds x 8 reps DROP 20 pounds x 8 reps

    ...60 seconds of fascia stretching...

    Biceps
    Alternating DB Curl
    Set #1 - 25 pounds x 12 reps
    Set #2 - 35 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #3 - 40 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #4 - 40 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #5 - 40 pounds x 7 reps
    Set #6 - 20 pounds x 15 reps

DB Hammer Curls on Preacher Bench
    Set #1 - 30 pounds x 8 reps
    Set #2 - 25 pounds x 10 reps
    Set #3 - 25 pounds x 12 reps

...and that's it for today. It was weird training so early in the morning (and after such a weird sleeping pattern) but to be honest I felt pretty good. I actually took my bicep work a little lighter than planned because my right bi feels strained and the IP joints in my left hand are bothering me for some reason (probably too much time on the computer), which is why I didn't do fascia stretching for biceps. Oh well, overall I'm happy with my numbers, and glad to be back on track.

Until next time: hit 'em up!

damn no spotter in the gym

    I'll spot you next time

Those inclines are quite suprising, maybe you just werent mentally there because those numbers aren't even up to my level, what the hell was wrong with you

Excellent Hammer Strength Dips afterwards, why dont you do bodyweight dips though, for triceps that is? So you could attempt to show me up?
Db Skulls are looking great as well, great tricep strength after hitting chest so hard.

Nice bicep work and I know what you mean about the joint being sore from being online too much

We need to find a hobby

Superb workout Joe cant wait for you to post your leg session

The biggest difference between you and me is you're you, and I'm me. I always win. Sorry bro.

Tweak - Not sure what was up with the inclines. I think it was a lack of food and a lot of working sets for bench before hand. You'll see me crush them next time though. Always glad you posted...you can spot me anytime you want, I better just not get a penis in my face while benching

    PS: I own this pose...

Nice heavy work on that chest. Sucks without a spotter doesn't it! That's the trouble training at home for me.

Your dips are very good too. Just noticed the pittle stick man, hah!

Comon, please don't be dissapointed with the dumbell benching. 90lbs dumbell benching is great, especially on incline!
Why don't you alternate next session and get the inclines in first.

What are your arms? 17/18 inches?

Nice session dude, Big bench and you still backed it up pretty well on the incline, despite your thoughts on it lol. Good arm work to

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around a city, keeping its speed over fifty and if its speed dropped, it would explode! I think it was called ... "The Bus That Couldnt Slow Down."

with those kind of numbers I'd be happy too! i'd never do bench press without a spot because it's one exercise I want to go all out with... where was Glex! nicely done with the PR on those dips which are lookin pretty darn huge if i do say so myself. i tore a tendon in my left bi and that took over 5 months to heal... so continue to take it easy until it gets better, and if it aint gettin no better any time soon get it checked it out a'ight! we don't need another string of injuries up in hurr
