Raging Bull is pretty awesome. What DeNiro film isn't though, Meet the Fockers wasn't that great though

How can you not like Nicholas Cage, hes awesome

The biggest difference between you and me is you're you, and I'm me. I always win. Sorry bro.

    Nic Cage:

    Raising Arizona
    Wild at Heart
    Leaving Las Vegas

and for entertainment as opposed to credibility value:

    The Rock
    Con Air
    Face/Off

Bobby De Niro has made a couple of stinkers: Rocky and Bullwinkle springs to mind instantly...

Watched Apocalypto last night - quality film. Very visceral, Gibson employs many of the techniques from Passion of the Christ but doesn't make it any less impressive. Maybe he'll do an english speaking film one day!

Adaptation and Leaving Las Vegas were the two I was thinking of so someone give Paulie two nickels. I do admit though that I have to see Wild at Heart; one of the few Lynch films I haven't seen.

And yea, Rob: Raging Bull **** or 10/10

I made a few purchases myself yesterday. Lately, I've been spending my money on movies and food every week.

    Raging Bull
    Lost In Translation
    Sleepy Hollow
    Monster

All really good films from what I hear. I'm pleased with my choices, and all 4 DVD's I got for under $30.

Haven't seen Monster? It's pretty good, but I haven't seen it in awhile so I'm not sure how I would rate it.

No ammount of OOH AND AHHHS look at that purty cgi is going to save it. So many things wrong with that movie you could write a book on it. Hopefully the 2nd one makes more sense.

    Have you not seen it??!

Awesome film. and yes it can. The end piece of music - Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings' is such a great piece of music. It was used in Platoon and Amelie too.
Let me know what you think.

I am watching a film of similar emotional and film-making zenith - 'School for Scoundrels' remake...
