    Kai: Skipping is a great warmup, and it is helping with my general conditioning.

    X: Yes I aim to get plenty of cardio.

    Bulky: Thanks for the well wishes. Friend me on FB and you can see some pics.

    Ben: made a mistake, it was the Titan belt and wraps from the site you found.

    Hammys were still stiff from the other day and not really up to training. But since I wasn't going to be able to train tomorrow, and I'd like to get another week of this done before Xmas, today had to happen. So took a page out of Jim's book and just did the basics and got out of there.

    Ben: I was aiming for 10 since I was fresh, rather than normally having pulled 8 sets >80% and 4>90%. So it feels kinda lame. But then again that is one of the reasons I'm doing 5/3/1, because I suck at a few things this program addresses.

    Kai: Thanks dude, things are going well, been married a month and had plenty of breaks and another one coming after Xmas. You?

    Last day of the first week, it blew a gale here this morning and then pissed down with rain. I was afraid one of the trees was going to take out the house, but it was all good in the end. Just really humid when I trained which really sapped the energy.

    Warmups - the usual except 4.5mins of skipping

    Last set was tough from the 2nd rep

    32kg x8 2 sets - whole bunch of suck at reps here, had plenty of power on all reps just no stamina.

    Ben: I scoff because I was sure I was good for more.

    Anabolicus: I sure hope so. Going to be a lot of interruptions to training this month.

    Week off for Xmas. Don't know if I gained weight, I was actually lighter at my parents place before lunch (my brother and I had a weigh-in). Squatted today as it was the first day that wasn't 44 degrees celcius in the past 3 days.

    Yesterday 30mins of rowing (in the aircon and still came out looking like I'd jumped in a pool).

    Today 5/3/1 week 2

    Warmups

    Squats
    60kg x5
    80kg x3

    105kg x3
    120kg x3
    135kg x5 thought I had 6 or 7 but I was having to focus on not coming forward too much.

    Front squats
    80kg x10 2 sets
    60kg x10 2 sets

    GM's
    60kg x12 5 sets

    Some heavy stretching as I was feeling tight and dehydrated.

    You do Goodmorning squats, when it gets heavy?
    No. What happens is that I tend to drop forward as the first motion rather than push through the heels. Something I noticed in a vid I took. When the weight gets heavy this is leading to a fail out of the hole. I used to have a bad problem of squatting on my toes, but I cured that with Front squats. This is more a problem with my squat motion that I just have to be concious of.

    Hungover today and with only a couple of hours of sleep. But being the first day for 2010 I had to do it justice and lift something.

    60kg x7 these felt really good and almost like I could have had an eighth except the arms turned to jelly locking out the seventh.

    Dips
    10kg x10 5 sets

    I was seeing stars and feeling nauseous at the end of this. Stupid hangover!
