My wife is totally comfortable with me occasionally finding comfort in the arms of another man.

Nice work on the OH squats mate!

Plus I hate the Rocky soundtracks. Eye of the Tiger is just lame as a workout track, aside from the opening 30secs it is cheesy pop music, not lifting music.
Nah bro not that Eye of the tiger girlie voice shit im talking about the non vocal, when the russian is training..... lemme see if I can find it lol.

    Edit: GOT IT!

Now tell my that's not a bad ass track to make a training vid to.

El Freako: Your wife clearly wants a bisexual threesome........

PV: Squats are all coming back. Hopefully the hammy continues to improve.

Samoan: Not sure I think of that as training music. Though the training montage is a classic!! I love the supermans he does.

    DA: Thanks dude!

Didn't train last night. Built a pool instead. So plenty of shovelling of sand and lifting of beams and metal liner and the like. Hope I get to train this evening, but the pool isn't quite finished yet and needs a fence. Fencing is one of the tougher jobs to do by hand. Should be good cardio.

Didn't lift last night. Built a fence instead. Got a good pump and sweat going ramming the dirt. People were surprised that rammed earth was as sturdy as concrete.

^^ I'm sorry that physical labour isn't worthy

I've gotten really lean in the past doing manual labour (as long as I didn't drink beer afterwards). Plus it actually achieves something usefull.

Even on the first rep of the hacks it looks like there was some slight flexion. Your hips looked like they tucked a bit when you squatted down.

^^ So it wasn't just me noticing that. I couldn't be sure. I think it is hammy tightness as it doesn't appear in my overhead squats, or the lighter sets of that hack squat. I'll also see what I can do about that row. Looked again in slow motion last night, appears there is some rotation, as well as me dropping the leg away. I'd prefer to do this as a supported row, so I'll either drop the weight off or look at modifying the lift (or both as you suggested).

Thanks again for the input Tristen!!! I also started doing my stretch/yoga thing again last night to try and help with the mobility at the hips.

Ok also lifted last night. It was a bit hot so I changed the parameters a bit. Bordering on PB territory for chins and dips. Previous best on dips was 55kgx4 back when I was 8kg lighter. Pretty pleased with this!!

    Isoholds (10sec)
    2.5kg x5

    W holds (10sec)
    2.5kg x5
    6kg x5

    40kg x2
    45kg x2 (normal reps)

    30kg x3
    40kg x2
    45kg x2
    50kg x1
    55kg x1 (not far off a PB!)

El Freako: You left me behind on the squats ages ago. We'll call it even

    Samoan: Cheers big fella!

Dridz: I don't seem to go for the pump in my workouts, but I do get swole after that type of workout. Thanks dude!

It was bloody hot this evening. Well over 40 degrees celcius. It was still 40 degrees when I trained. But considering that tomorrow is Australia Day I'm about as likely to exercise then as the pope is to find free time on a Sunday. Anyway got in and got it done.

Complex: Snatch drop; Overhead squat; Good Morning
    40kg 5 2 5
    60kg 2 2 5
    70kg 2 2 5
    80kg 2 1 5
85kg fail (just too damned hot to be bothered)

    Split squat
    85kg x5
    90kg x5
    95kg x3
    95kg x2

    Hammy curl
    10kg x10 +10
    12.5kg x8 +10
    12.5kg x8 +10
12.5kg x8 +10 (hammys feel fine but I won't tempt fate as yet, I'll add some more weight next week)

    Donkey calf raise
    40kg x10 +10
    50kg x8 +10
    50kg x8 +10
    50kg x8 +10

    Soundtrack:
The sounds of me breathing. Couldn't handle music in this heat.
