My weights have improved, I've added about 10kg to the FSquat, Bench in ~6 weeks and about 15k to my deadlift. But I'd been expecting just a little bit more as my DE lifts have been more like 20kg improvements.

Have you considered throwing some band work into the mix with you DE movements? My reading has been telling me that its effectively like adding extra heavy work in and really trains you to produce that force at the start of the movement before the band tension gets to great.

I was looking at bands and chains as a training option. I'd sort of half decided on getting some chains. I was going to check out the hardware store and see what it would all cost and figure out how to hook it to the bar (I'd probably just use some rope). Bands would require some welding on my power rack, which just isn't going to happen at the moment.

I've also been thinking about making a sled to do some rope pulls (the sit down and haul a rope in), sled pulls, etc. Plus it could be fun.

    Skipping
5mins (I do this every session but I'll start writing it in)

    Chinup
    BW x3x2
    20kg x2x2
    36.5kg x2x8

    Floor press
    60kg x3x1
    85kg x2x8

    Standing OHP
    60kg x5x3

    THick bar DB row
    35kg x15x2

    Pushup
    20kg x15x2

    Situps
    5kg x12x2

solid session dude specially the chins are impressive. u do pullups? i feel the pullups works better for upper back and that the chins tend to overwork my biceps compared to my lats, but that may be a personal preference.

A lot of people just use those collar clips that most gyms use on their olympic bars.

Bulky: Yep I do both the pullups and chinups. I'm stronger on the chinup currently (it used to be the opposite). I agree that pullups tend to work the back a bit better, but I got the chins working well by pulling the clavicles to the bar.

ElFreako: I don't have the collars, I've got the spring collars. I'd just use some rope to loop them on. I've got some left over from when I used rope to tie weights for chins, dips, etc. I love my dip belt!!!!

SOrry do you mean collars to hold the bands?

Yeah, or the chains. Just bend them open a little.

nice deadlifting tim. liking the rack holds too. gotta remember doing some of those. why rack pulls over conventional deads? struggling with the lockout?

    Thanks guys.

Bulky and Jono, I've been using deads for a few months now and I'm noticing two problems. Hammys for lockouts are still weak, and spinal errectors are a bit wimpy. So I was thinking a low pin position and do those for a month or so, then I'll switch to a deficit lift for awhile. I'm still amazed at how long it is taking to fix up my hammy weakness and get back to were I was this time last year (pulling +200kg).

THe deficit I have a few options, I can stand on plates, use my standard plates (which are a few inches smaller in diameter), or do snatch grip deads.

I'll try and find an upload place to put the two Strong(er) manuals. 12mb and 8mb. I've been looking for the Bulletproof Knees manual too.

Oh did I send you Science and Practice of Strength Training? I have the download link for that too.

Just finished lifting. New PB in the Floor press, but of course this is the first time I've done them heavy ever. Kinda like claiming I just beat the world record in the 100m done in my backyard at 5:30pm on an August evening in 2009.....
