The suggested retail price for Standard Definition is $39.95 ($39.99 CAD) and $49.95 for HD.
UFC 68: THE UPRISING features current Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia, and former UFC Champions Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes.
Sylvia (25-2-0), fighting out of Davenport, Iowa, is the UFC Heavyweight Champion. He first stormed into the UFC defeating “Cabbage” Correira in his first fight and knocking out Ricco Rodriguez in his second fight to become the champion. Following his knock out of Gan McGee to defend the title, Sylvia relinquished his belt when the Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended his license after he tested positive for an anabolic agent. He then fought Frank Mir for the vacant title at UFC 48 and suffered multiple breaks in his arm from a Mir armbar. After recovering, he returned at UFC 51 fighting Andrei Arlovski only to suffer another setback as he was forced to tap out in the first round due to an Achilles lock. At UFC 54 he returned to his winning ways with a devastating head kick knockout over Tra Telligman, followed by a unanimous decision victory over Assuerio Silva at Ultimate Fight Night™ (1/16/06). Sylvia faced UFC World Heavyweight Champion Arlovski again at UFC 59 and defeated him by a devastating first round knockout. He followed that up with another win, a decision over Arlovski at UFC 61 (7/8/06), and a unanimous decision over the devastating challenger Jeff Monson at UFC 65. Sylvia is ready to take on anyone the UFC puts in front of him and defend his belt a third time at UFC 68.
Fighting out of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rich Franklin (22-2-0) is an extremely well-rounded fighter possessing great striking and submission skills. He fought most of his career as a light heavyweight before moving to the middleweight division. At UFC 53, he knocked out UFC champion Evan Tanner to capture the middleweight crown. He made his first title defense against Nate Quarry at UFC 56 winning by first round KO and his second defense against Canadian David Loiseau at UFC 58, winning by decision after dominating “The Crow” through all five championship rounds. He faced Anderson Silva in his third UFC title defense, but was KOd by the Brazilian in the first round. Eager to get back into the Octagon, and in front of a home state crowd, Franklin is hot on the trail to taking back the middleweight crown.
Matt Hughes, with an incredible 42-5 record, was the longest reigning champion ever in the history of the UFC. He started fighting in 1999, at UFC 22, and spent two years climbing his way up the division. At UFC 34 (11/02/01) he won the UFC Welterweight Championship by defeating Carlos Newton by KO. From there, he won five consecutive fights, holding the title for three years before losing it to BJ Penn at UFC 46 (1/31/04), succumbing to a rear naked choke at 4:39 of the first round. He regained the vacant welterweight crown at UFC 50 (10/22/04) by stopping Georges St. Pierre with an arm bar at 4:59 of the first round, and defended his title at UFC 52 (4/16/06) against Frank Trigg, winning by a rear naked choke. He fought Joe Riggs at UFC 56 (11/19/05) in a non-championship bout and submitted him by Kimura at 3:28 of the first round, then followed that up with a third round TKO over BJ Penn at UFC 63. Hughes met St. Pierre again at UFC 65, this time losing to the Canadian contender by second round TKO. He is determined to get back in the Octagon and score the first step toward reclaiming his title and his reign in the UFC welterweight division.

    Rampage Interview

  6. #186

I've missed seeing Rampage's interviews. Serious laughs when Forrest walked in and at the Tito bobblehead comments.

Plus, the 'sold me like a runaway slave' comment about made my kidneys explode. Awesome find, CC

    Stand or fall, but choose.

  7. #187
Lol at the interview.. haha.. i actually have the old KOTC vid where Rampage lost to eastman... awesome debut for him..

any news on who Crocop is fighting?

  8. #188
Cro Cop is fighting Eddie Sanchez, pretty much a stand-up guy with some deccent KO power, but he's faced pretty much C-level fighters. I mean he's got a chance for a KO, but its like a 10% chance. This won't be like Pulver/Lauzon...it's fricken Cro Cop, most likely this will be like Anderson Silva's debut where by the time the fights over everyones jaws will drop like their mouths are broken.

Jason Macdonalds camp has confirmed that he will be fighting Rich Franklin on the UFC 68 card.

Should be an interesting fight, although i hate when 2 fighters i like get faced off against one another, still should be a good fight though.

Top UFC Lightweight Contenders B.J. Penn and Jens Pulver to Serve As Coaches

NEW YORK, NY, December 19, 2006 -- Sixteen of the best up-and-coming mixed martial artists from around the world will convene in Las Vegas in mid-January in pursuit of one goal -- to be named the 'ULTIMATE FIGHTER' and to be given a contract in the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization.

The fifth season of Spike TV's highly successful reality series, The Ultimate Fighter, features lightweights (155lbs) for the first time ever. Former UFC Lightweight Champion Jens Pulver and former UFC Welterweight Champion B.J. Penn will serve as coaches. A new twist this season is Penn and Pulver will actually fight each other in the show's live finale. The two fought previously in January, 2002 at UFC 35 where Pulver won by a majority decision in a hard-fought 5-round fight. The new season premieres Thursday, April 5 at 10:00pm ET/PT.

Spike TV will telecast exclusive interviews with Penn and Pulver on Inside The UFC Thursday, December 21 at 12:00 midnight where they will discuss for the first time their thoughts and coaching philosophies for Season 5 and their eventual dual in the Octagon.

During the 6-week Ultimate Fighter competition, the 16 men will endure a grueling regimen of jiu-jitsu, judo, muay thai, karate, boxing and wrestling. The intense competition between the fighters continues after they left the gym - at The Ultimate Fighter House. These warriors are forced to live with each other, knowing that any day they could be forced to fight each other in the famed UFC Octagonâ„¢.

In each episode, opponents from each team will be selected to square off in battle, officially weighed in and then, in front of their teammates, coaches, and the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the two combatants face off in two five-minute rounds.

Over the first 4 seasons, the show has delivered about 2 million viewers each week, often beating the NBA, NHL, MLB, and NCAA football and basketball head-to-head on Thursday nights with Men 18-34.

Craig Piligian of Pilgrim Films and Television, Frank Fertitta III, Lorenzo Fertitta, Dana White of Zuffa, LLC, and Kevin Kay of Spike TV are the show's executive producers. Brian J. Diamond is Senior Vice President, Sports &Specials, Spike TV and Co-Executive Producer. Peter V. Symuleski serves as Executive in Charge of Production for Spike TV.

Spike TV is available in 90 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks. MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International Inc.
Jens AND BJ as coaches...pure LWs...this will be a great season of TUF

apparently on Inside the UFC on Thursday Randy Couture has a huge annoucement, which supposedly is that he is coming out of retirement to fight Tim Sylvia...

If The Natural comes back...and he wins...there would be no words possible to say it...Randy Couture would be the greatest of all time.
