Yeah it is, but if handled right it could get better after that.

Bailing out wall street after they blatantly fucked over most of north america will breed nothing but more corruption. You can't tell me these investment firms didn't see this coming, its called "sub-prime" for a reason. No, the firms were well aware of what was going to happen, but in the short term they made an assload of cash, got some great bonuses at everyone's expense.

This bailout is rubbing salt in the wound. Let the idiots get hung in their own noose. If this bailout goes through a worse crash is coming, inflation increases. Things will be terrible in the near future, that is inevitable now, however it is often said that a depression is a redistribution of wealth. Hopefully if the corrupt system is allowed to kill itself like the cancer it is things will get better after that. People need to change their spending habits and need to invest properly.

Americans should all be very pissed about this plan, it will screw everyone over completely.

It is, but I don't believe they are behind all of this. The use of religion as a motivation for events such as these or other atrocities is a cover. This is just unmitigated greed and lust for power.

Its time for real patriotism, supporting a corrupt government is not patriotism. Unfortunately the population is too busy with their HDTV's to worry about it, well they were too busy till they can no longer afford those things.

This crisis has the potential to be great for America, i really hope some good comes of it and people wake up. You cannot implicitly trust your government, the checks and balances have slowly been removed by the bush administration. Wall street is just a much more visible crisis that hits much closer to home for most people. The deregulation and corruption on Wall Street so closely mirrors the attitudes of the whitehouse lately that it would be comical if it wasn't so terrifying.
