Like I've said before I just got a PS3. I want to buy a couple good Blu-Ray movies and I can't figure out which ones to get. Give me some ideas of some good Blu-Ray movies to buy. Thanks!

I take it you just want movies that look good on Blu-Ray?

http://www.blu-ray.com/

Best transfers I've seen to date are:

The Dark Knight
Die Hard 4
IRON MAN
The Watchmen
Wall-E
Pan's Labyrinth
Sin City
The Spirit
Both Crank Movies
King Kong
I Am Legend
Transformers
Band of Brothers Series

Out of the 50 odd Blu-Ray movies I've watched, I would say those were the best looking ones. I watched all of these on a 42" 1080p TV.

Yea, my 42" tv really isn't big enough to see the difference from 720p and 1080p. Any thing above 50" and you start seeing the benefits of 1080p over 720p. Saying that, you really need to optimize your tv settings for the movies to look good in HD. A poorly set up tv can make an HD movie look like a sd dvd.

You would need to know the model number before doing any sort of tweaking...

I will have to find out the model when I get out of class and go
home and then I will see if I can figure it out.

Try this.

http://www.tweaktv.com/tweak-my-tv/calibration-guide/mitsubishi-lt-52149.html

It won't be perfect but if you want perfect than you'd have to get an expert in and that is quite costly. Just tweak it until you're happy with the improvements.

The factory default settings are always terrible and are never set up to get the best picture.

Thanks alot Pain I really appreciate it I will try it when I get home. Well o just bought Transformers on Blu-Ray and a HDMI cable which I forgot to buy when o bought my PS3. So now I'm ready to go.

From the standpoint of audio/visual quality, these are worth checking out:

2001: A Space Odyssey
Zodiac DC
Children of Men
Bourne Trilogy
Quantum of Solace

and I'll second Pain's recommendations of Sin City and Watchmen.

I hope you have a good sound system to boot. Enjoy.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yea I do have a pretty good sound system. Yesterday I watched part of transformers I didn't have enough time to watch it all but the parts a watched looked and sounded so good on Blu-Ray.
