If all you do is web browsing and a little CS, then that upgrade is pointless.

-Pick an e7600, it migh be only 10 additional $.
-Motherboard is just too expensive. A good Gygabyte one would cost you around 55$.
- What about an GeForce9500 1GB? It's only 50-55$.
-2GB RAM... what kind of RAM? I'll pick two modules (1GB 800-1066Mhz DDR2) and put them in a Dual-Channel configuration.

ya, learn from me. Don't waste your money. I have two Core 2 duo's, One Core 2 Quad and don't use them really besides watching 1080p movies. Now if you were going to download and watch HD movies, that would be a reason to upgrade but for what you are doing. Its pointless. I used to run Counter strike on a 233mhz computer.

Wait for the new 5800 series chips from ATI, the 5870 is out, but they will have lower end models in Q1 10'
also i'd say get 4gigs of ram for future OS's and other applications, supposedly after WIN7, all future OS's will be 64bit only...meaning more ram usage.
Get a Core i5 CPU as well... mobo i dunno,
