I would probably say District 9 or The Hurt Locker could sit nicely in my top 20 favorite movies of all time.

I also really liked Moon but it never engaged me as much as the two I mentioned above.

Still haven't seen Avatar, yet. Nothing about that movie interests me except maybe the "omg" special effects everyone keeps talking about.

I agree with District 9 being up there. But the Hurt Locker just seemed like a boring documentary film, despite some really powerful scenes.

I already dont remember 2009 that muchth my top 20, Avatar has a worthy mention. I could place it up there.

Just remembered, Star Trek, I fucking loved that movie. It goes in my twenties.

I thought it was an enjoyable movie, but you'd have to see very few movies to put that in your top 20.

Jamie Fox was good, but for some reason I think the part would have been a lot better played by Denzel.

Agreed, Denzel would have been very good for that part.

^^BAHAHAHAHHAHA! :bowroflarms:
Epic self-ownage.

On-topic: District 9, although not a top 20'er, is definitely a 2009 addition to my faves list. Have yet to see Hurt Locker.

No you're wrong. Clearly we should just discuss every film of the last 100yrs and ignore the fact that we are discussing film released last year.

A Serious Man would make my top 100. That's about it though.

I tried watching that and found it kinda boring. Was really disappointed as I have enjoyed ever Coen movie to date.

Heh, I think it's probably their best film. I wasn't too keen on it the first time though.
