13 years of development. This shit better be good if it ever gets released.

Judging by the trailer it looks pretty crappy.

Yeah man, they've been developing it forever! :p

Looks like shit. They've wasted their own time making this game. They're going to have to start from scratch again because this technology seems very outdated.

Development on Duke Nukem Forever (DNF) was first publicly announced in April 1997, and promotional information for the game was released in one form or another in each of 1997, 1998, 2001, 2007, and 2008. After repeatedly announcing and deferring release dates for the game, 3D Realms announced publicly in 2001 that DNF would be released simply "when it's done".

uhuh?

If you write 200 lines of source code in 2010, another 200 lines in 2020 and finally 100 lines in 2025, yeah, you have developed your product in 15 years, but that doesn't mean you couldn't have done it in two days if you wanted to. :thumbsup2:

They started development back then and it still isn't out, and has never been officially canceled.

DNF is the joke of the gaming industry when it comes to delays.

Agreed! And that's why 3D Realms is bankrupt now. They thought they were smart by delaying, and delaying and telling the community "when it's done" but the joke's on them! And who would want to hire somebody from 3D Realms now? They've got the slowest team in the world! "Johnson when will that model be ready?" "WHEN IT'S DONE SIR". :turborun:

What a fucken joke, i remember i wanted it so bad when it was announced for the gamecube a long ass time ago LOL. Some developers out there can work wonders in 2 years and these guys take 13 fucken years and they cant get a game out. No game is worth that much time in development, no game. No matter what, it would have never lived up to 13 years in development.
