They won't win many games this year due to inexperience and one of the league's worst benches. Yet, they'll be watchable due to their youth, upside and progress.
Fledgling cornerstones like Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, Trey Burke, Alec Burks and Gordon Hayward are going to get all the developmental minutes they can handle. Brandon Rush will get to prove whether he can bounce back from injury issues. Rudy Gobert can show he was an NBA draft steal.
In the process of racking up both losses and growth time, the Jazz will position themselves to pick multiple times in the 2014 NBA draft, one of the most enticing ever. They'll also have some of the most free-agency cap space in the league during an all-time stacked class.
Growing pains like this are fun because there's so much room to grow. Plus, the not-so-future payoff is going to be worth it on multiple levels.
