The American Powerlifting Committee (APC) has made the annual payout form the Athletes Fund to the qualified lifters competing in the GPA World Powerlifting Championships in Tampere, Finland. Each lifter received $820.00.
Since 2005 the APC has used the proceeds from the sale of membership cards, sanction fees, and sponsor contributions to fund the Athletes Fund to help cover the travel expenses of APC lifters to the World Powerlifting Championships. Each year the balance in the Athletes Fund is divided equally among the qualified lifters competing in the World Championships.
