Increased physical activity may slow kidney function decline in patients with kidney disease, according to a study appearing in an upcoming issue of the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (JASN). The findings suggest that exercise could have a powerful effect on maintaining patients' health. Approximately 60 million people globally have chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Sometimes exercise can make you feel more energetic if you have kidney problems, also it can control your blood pressure - and just gives you more energy to do the extra things that you want to do in life. Also physical activity can control your weight and make you sleep better as well.

I like this topic because I know of so many people who have problems with their kidneys. In fact, my father died of kidney failure when he refused to undergo dialysis treatment. Maybe if a patient would indulge in moderate workout the kidneys would be stronger and the degeneration may slow down. I hope that study is true.
