I get so many people daily DMing me asking me how to get "noticed" how to get a "sponsor" and all that. My question to them is if u owned a company would u sponsor u? If your someone wanting to achieve greatness in this sport or life, don't ask how to do, just do it! Everyone has their own way of achieving their goals, don't ask to get spoon fed anything because how great is it really if u achieve it. We all are given the same tools in this world. It's ur choice what to do with them!

How much do you know about Guy Cisternino? In this article, you'll find information about Guy Cisternino, his background, his bodybuilding career, general information about him and his net worth. Read on.

Guy Cisternino Biography

On the 21st of March 1982, Guy Cisternino was born in Bridgewater, New Jersey to Italian parents. Guy has always been a lover of sports and he participated actively in them. He played running back for his college in Western Connecticut, United States.

Guy disclosed that he was deeply motivated by his father who was his main source of inspiration and motivation. Growing up, he has always wished to have big arms and muscles like his father who was a boxer and a footballer.

As he advanced in age, he started going in the footsteps of his father. He also participated in boxing and football. He started playing football in his 3rd grade but during that time he complained about his mates making fun of him for being small.

By the time he got to 7th grade, his father, in trying to encourage his passion, gifted him a set of weights. Guy continued to exercise with his dumbbells, weights and pulldown machine that he trained with at home. But when he started high school, he started to visit the school gym regularly.

Although Guy still had the passion for football burning inside of him, he still made sure to spend more hours in the gym. He continued this practice in college but it was during that time that he got to know about bodybuilding competitions.

Once he knew that lifting weights and building an amazing physique was more than a hobby and could even be a career, he made training his top priority.

After a series of training to build a good physique, he toyed with the idea of entering his first bodybuilding competition. He later made up his mind to participate.

He finally decided to enter his first competition in 2003. However, he received a message that the competition had been canceled 7 days before it was supposed to be held.

Guy didn't want all his training and preparation to go to waste so he was on the lookout for other bodybuilding competitions. He was able to find one which coincidentally fell on the same day as the canceled bodybuilding show.

Guy disclosed that he had to spend $1,300 to fix his car so that he can compete in the bodybuilding show which was 9 hours away.

Guy won first place in the novice class overall and open class, however, another competitor won the open division overall. This event was an eye-opener for Guy, he saw that although it was his first show, he still won first place. He decided then that he was going to take bodybuilding as his life's career. He made a life-changing decision that he was going to be a competing bodybuilder for as long as possible.

Guy Cisternino Pro Card

Guy's first competition was the hook that did it for him. He became addicted to the lifestyle and he was always working on, trying to maintain and improve his body. Compared to other bodybuilders with gigantic height, Guy still managed to pull off an amazing physique with his 5'5 height.

He started preparing for other bodybuilding shows. The year 2003-2007 saw him competing in different local and regional bodybuilding shows. In those events, he won first place in some and lost first place in some too.

In 2007, he participated in the IFBB New York Metro Championships. In that competition, Guy placed first in the middleweight class. He didn't relent after the show, he continued to work on his dieting and training with even more passion this time.

That same year, he participated in the 2007 NPC Nationals where he placed second in the middleweight class. He participated in another show, the NPC Junior USA in which he placed first. After he won the NPC Junior USA, he became more aware of his potential of being one of the greatest bodybuilders.

He participated in the 2008 NPC Nationals and stole the show. He won first place in that competition and that earned him his Pro Card.

Guy won his Pro card in 2008, but he took a one-year break from bodybuilding and when he returned, his body had greatly improved and his performance too. He proved himself to be a champion starting from the 2011 IFBB Europa super show where he started making competitions.

The next few years saw him competing in different bodybuilding competitions. He competed in the 2013 IFBB Wings of Strength Chicago Pro-Am Extravaganza where he won the second position. And in the 2014 IFBB Europa Dallas competition, he placed first.

He continued winning competitions and finishing with impressive results. In 2014, he participated in IFBB Toronto Pro Supershow and he placed first. He also competed in the 2014 IFBB New York Pro where he placed second.

In 2015, Guy competed in the IFBB Europa Phoenix where he was the runner-up. Meanwhile, he won that year's IFBB New York Pro and finished with 6th place in the IFBB Olympia Weekend.

Guy Cisternino Net Worth

There's no information about Guy's net worth, as a bodybuilder who has all these achievements under his belt, Guy would be living comfortably well.

Guy's Accident

In 2011, Guy had an experience that nearly took his life and put an end to his career. Having made up his mind to be a bodybuilder for as long as possible, Guy was forced to pause his career.

He was involved in an accident where he sustained major injuries. His car ran into a reckless truck driver who was making an illegal U-turn. Guy's car crashed beyond recognition and it's a miracle that he made it out alive.

The result of the accident could have ended the life of an average man, but Guy Cristernino is no average man. He suffered multiple broken bones, 2 herniations, and injury to his jaw and neck. His doctor confirmed that he would have died if he didn't pack all those muscles.

Guy Cisternino Car Crash

Guy took a year to recover from his accident and, amazingly, he didn't let the accident put an end to his career. He returned to the bodybuilding scene with a better and improved physique.

He has competed in over 10 bodybuilding shows after his accident. Guy was able to push through the obstacles even with an injured shoulder, he still pushed to be the best.

On a final note;

Guy's bodybuilding journey has not been an easy one. The pain he had to go through to become successful would have killed an average man. Although he didn't win any Mr Olympia awards, he's still recognized by world-famous bodybuilders.

Growing up, Guy has always wanted to be like his father. He loved how big his father's arms were. He made it his dream and was determined to achieve it.

There are so many lessons to learn from Guy's short career as a bodybuilder. In one of his quotes, Guy said: “I have had many cracks in my life many more recently than ever before, doesn’t matter how many cracks my life endures one thing is for sure, you can crack me as much as you want, but there’s one thing for sure, I refuse to ever be broken. Remember that!”

Guy has a huge social media following where he uploads his training videos and he drops inspiring quotes for his followers.

The most important lesson to learn from Guy is that whatever you conceive in your mind, you can achieve it. Regardless of the setbacks and barriers, once you have a vision, make it your mission and don't stop till you achieve it.
