    If you are using exogenous GH with the end goal of lipolysis (fat loss), you want to be doing so in a fasted state.

    Presence of amino acids, glucose and fatty acids in the blood blunts the Free Fatty Acid mobilisation capabilities of GH. The rate of FFA mobilisation is creeping down by the 3 hour post-injection mark, but does remain elevated for some time still.

    Your absorptive ability for GH is also increased in a fasted state.

    To summarise, if you are using GH with the goal of fat loss, it is best case practise to dose in a fasted state (no food for 4+ hours prior) and remaining fasted for AT LEAST 3 hours post-injection, although longer would provide additional benefit. Performing some non-glucose intensive activity during this time would be beneficial, but that's another point for another post!

    Tuesday morning physique update!

    Photos are fasted out of bed at 181lbs.

    We finished the diet one week ago, weight has continued to trend downwards so adjustments here are:
    - pull all HIIT sessions
    - LISS sessions reduced to 200 cals per session
    - 20c and 10f added on training days
    - 20f added on rest days

    Still slowly finding my maintenance and letting everything stabilise before beginning a growth phase.

    Nandrolone increases a bio-marker of collagen synthesis in humans.

    39 post-menopausal women treated with 50mg of deca every three weeks for one year resulted in a greater than 50% increase in serum procollagen type 3 aminoterminal peptide.

    Type 3 collagen is found in vascular and heart tissues (alongside the skin and intestines) so this research may be useful in the context of examining the potential for left ventricular wall hypertrophy that has been noted from long-term anabolic steroid use.

    In my YouTube video on using growth hormone for hypertrophy I mention that chasing increases in systemic IGF-1 via large bolus dosing strategies is a sub-optimal choice, and could in fact be limiting your hypertrophy potential from some negative feedback mechanisms.

    This research demonstrates increased systemic IGF-1 could directly inhibit localised skeletal muscle tissue IGF-1 synthesis.

    Just got in a leg session with the Mrs at PureGym Salford after an interview on AAS use with ITV.

    I'm really happy with the way the interview went, and thankfully didn't follow the usual rhetoric of demonising all anabolic steroid use right off the bat. Instead, we discussed medical implications and issues with legality with was refreshing to say the least.

    Now for some well earned coco pops and yoghurt before the long drive home!

    Vitamin K is a supplement I would consider beneficial for just about anybody.

    I've spoken a little about K2's cardiac protective effects for AAS users in the past (which the latter of this paper does point toward) but aside from that, here are a couple of outcomes to support why this also holds big benefits for the older-aged of my followers

    Over 3 years, K2 held a statistically significant benefit to prevention of osteoporosis and fractures, plus substantial benefits in preventing age-related stiffening of the arteries when compared to placebo.

    I personally use and recommend Super K from Life Extension, due to the dosing, it being a comprehensive blend of K1/K2, and coming from a well trusted GMP compliant facility.
