I was a skinny lad so my friends suggested for me to use weights to build up muscles. I remember my older brother making a barbell from a lead pipe and buckets filled with concrete. It was quite heavy for a 100-pounder like me but I persevered. I was lifting that barbell in a slow manner, 10 times at the start but I progressed it to 20 later on. And then I have this slight pain on my lower abdomen. And when I had a checkup, it was a suspected hernia. You can guess that I quit lifting weights because of that. And yeah, I remained skinny until age 30 when I started gaining weight due to my age maybe.
