Have you seen the actual training of Manny Pacquiao? His trainer and childhood friend, Buboy Fernandez has an object used to hit Pacquiao’s middle. The trainer said that the hitting would make the boxer’s abs strong as to be immune to the impact. So when in the actual fight, the opponent may hit the middle and Pacquiao wouldn’t mind it much. But is that technique scientific? Isn’t it injurious to the abs as well?

I guess this makes sense to a certain degree, but then I remember seeing something about a waste of resources of the body needing to repair damage that otherwise may not be there. With that I am just not really sure what to think anymore, but it is interesting.
