How much you do that workout? How long does it take?

This would definitely be tough. Nice routine. I need to do something like this. I would throw in some pull-ups, if I did it though. Make it a total body routine & just workout 3 days a week lol

thanks for the replies.

i revised it a little bit. added pull ups as someone suggested. again the numbers are how many seconds i am doing each exercise, not reps.

pull up 15

rest 30

jumping jacks 20
high knee 30

rest 30

wall sit 30
push up 30
squat 30

rest 30

jumping jacks 20
pull up 15
squat 30

rest 30

high knee 30

For a warm up, that program of yours looks okay to me. And for starters, that would do. However, you may say that it is boring with the many rest periods. Maybe you can increase the reps to 50 for the jumping jack and observe if your legs can endure it pretty well. But I’m not an expert in that, just my opinion.

Pretty sure the workout is done with seconds & not reps. At least that's what he put & that would mean you could go as fast as you want with the reps. I'll admit it would be tough for me, but I seldom do hiit routines. Probably do them more in the future.

Here is another example:

[h=3]Traditional Sprints (Track or Treadmill)[/h]
  • Warm-up
    • 2 min brisk walk then 25% jog (30 sec)
    • 2 min brisk walk then 50% run (20 sec)
    • 2 min brisk walk then 90% sprint (15 sec)
    • 2 min walk
  • Workout
  • Sprint 100% (5 to 10 sec) then 2 minute walk
  • Repeat multiple times
  • 2 min walk cool down

Total time with 3 work sets is about 18 minutes.

It would be tedious to follow the routine. I would rather establish a timetable and do several of there on a day to day basis. I believe in spontaneity to avoid the dread and grind of daily exercise.
