Natural Bodybuilding is here.

The ONE World United Natural Bodybuilding Alliance will hold the Northeast/Southwest Classic, Drug Free Bodybuilding, Figure, Bikini and Physique Championships on Saturday at the State Theater.

The Mr. & Ms. Natural Kentucky State show will also be conducted.

The finals and awards ceremboy begin at 5 p.m. with tickets available at the door for $35.

Prejudging will at 9 a.m. and tickets are $25

“Prejudging is when you have to be on point,” said Marcus Jefferson, who works at the Ireland Army Health Clinic as a material handler and property management specialist. “Prejudging is the main show.”

Jefferson said the length of the prejudging will be determined by the number of entrants, which will not be finalized until Saturday morning. He is hoping for around 30.

“That is a good number for being here for the first time,” Jefferson said.

The number of categories available will also be determined by how many participate.

The show is presented by Rayflex-Community Health and Wellness Foundation along with sponsors EAS Fitness and STAX Nutrition.

“We also have the Elizabethtown Athletic Club, Five Star Nutrition, Beverly International Products, Advocare, Muscle Head Graphics and the Holiday Inn Express,” Jefferson said.

The 38-year-old Jefferson has been a bodybuilder for six years.

He tore his ACL playing high school football in Arkansas, but still received a scholarship offer from the University of Arkansas. After redshirting his freshman year, Jefferson reinjured the knee and his collegiate career was over.

But after college, he spent one year with the Arkansas Twisters in the Arena Football League and three with the Arkansas Rhinos of the North American Football League.

He worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal army base as a chemical disposer, and was given an opportunity to transfer to Colorado or Kentucky.

“I’m from Illinois, so Kentucky is closer to home,” Jefferson said. “I started working out to stay in shape and a guy introduced me to another guy and he (Cedric Williams) would ask me every day if I wanted to be a bodybuilder. I kept putting it off and putting it off and decided to give it a try.

“He and I have been together ever since.”

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Free Store Food Bank. A live fundraiser will also be held.

“We have a lot of veterans in this area,” Jefferson said. “It will be great to give to the Wounded Warrior Project.”

“The night show is for fun and entertainment,” Jefferson said with a laugh. “It’s all about fun.”
