Softball was a very popular sport in the Philippines after the second world war. Softball is very much like baseball although the apparent difference is the pitching of the ball. In baseball, the pitcher throws the ball overhand while in softball, the pitcher pitches the ball underhand. And with the length of the game, baseball has 9 innings while softball has 7. Basically, a baseball player can easily adapt to playing softball and vice versa.
