Airport is a disaster drama shown in theaters in 1970. It is a story of a jet airliner that was held captive by a suicide bomber. Making matters worse for the authorities, there is an ongoing snowstorm which made it harder for the rescuers. Starring Burt Lancaster and Dean Martin, Airport was a box office success and it also won Helen Hayes an Oscar in the best supporting actress category.
