The poor boy from Dadiangas, now called city of Gensan, shot to fame when he won the WBC super featherweight belt from Cornelius Boza Edwards by knockout in the 5[SUP]th[/SUP] round. The bout was held in Italy.After a successful defense against Korean Choi Chung Il, Navarette lost by knockout to Rafael Limon. From there on, Navarette’s career was on a downslide. Making it worse are the cases he was involved in – physical injuries and a rape case that sent him to jail in Hawaii for 3 years. The bad boy is still alive in his hometown and surving by doleouts.
