The 2017 Musclepharm IFBB North American championships hit town beginning Wednesday

Pittsburgh is at the center of the bodybuilding universe this week, hosting the 2017 Musclepharm IFBB North American championships in the grand ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel, Station Square.


The events begin Wednesday with the IFBB Pittsburgh Pro Masters Championship, a professional competition, and continue through Saturday with the amateur Musclepharm IFBB series. More than 1,300 of the best amateur men and women bodybuilders, fitness, bikini and physique competitors from the U.S., Canada and Mexico will compete in that one. Tickets are $30 at the door for prejudging that begins at 8 a.m. each day and $60 for the finals, which take place at 5 p.m. Women's competition begins Wednesday and continues Thursday; the amateur men will compete Friday and Saturday.
