This is the Southeast Asian games participated in by 11 countries situation in the area. This biennial sports league aims to duplicate the Asian games which is of a higher level. It is currently ongoing with host Malaysia in the lead having 68 golds while second place Vietnam has 42 followed by Singapore and Thailand. Previous leading countries Indonesia and Philippines are in 5[SUP]th[/SUP] and 6[SUP]th[/SUP] place respectively.

I always like to see the more regional events get a good amount of attention. I cannot say that I am familiar with the SEA games but it is nice knowing that the athletes get that chance to compete.
