It was not disclosed what specific substance it is but John Skipper, chief of ESPN, the sports television of Walt Disney CO. resigned to deal with his substance addiction. Skipper is also co-chairman of Disney Media Networks. There is currently a retrenchment going on in Disney in anticipation of the trend that people are turning to online platforms in lieu of television.

This news is just too bad for ESPN and Walt Disney Films. Substance abuse is just a big societal problem and menace today that it practically spares no one, rich or poor, everyone is vulnerable. We ask whether this is because of a breakdown in moral values and it's inextrcable link to religiousity or materialism? People affected by substance abuse doesn't seem to have any problems on the surface but upon closer analysis, substance abuse is more substantial than what was previously thought of as being like a mere usage of cigarettes or alcohol.
