WBA lightweight champion Jorge Linares will defending his belt against Mercito Gesta of the Philippines. The fight includes the WBC Diamond belt of Linares. With a fight record of 43-3 and 27 KOs, Linares is heavily favored to beat Gesta whose record stands at 31-1-2 with 17 knockouts. Surprisingly, Gesta is rated only #14 in the list of contenders.

Both pretty impressive records there but I always like to favor the guy who wins by knockout more. I am not really sure that is even correct to do so, and probably not now that I think about it, but oh well.
