Ironically, the rock band America was formed in England in 1970s with members Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley. Later on they were joined by Willie Leacox, Richard Campbell and Michael Woods. Their song Horse With No Name was an instant hit that laster for long in the charts. They were churning out hits after hits with their different kind of rock called folk rock. I’m sure you remember Ventura Highway and the story of Inspector Mills.
