One of the biggest questions in the bodybuilding community is if someone who claims they are natural are in fact just that. Some people have reasons why they either will or claim to stay steroid-free, either due to their employment, reputation or simply personal preference.

But does it really make a difference?

The answer depends on the individual, of course, but it's no one else's business but the person who is either using or not using the juice. They have to make the decision that is right for them and taking away any credit of their physique due to steroid use is a mistake, as well. As a matter of fact, people that use AAS (anabolic androgenic steroids) usually take their entire lifestyle more serious and 'stick to the the program,' if you will.

Look at it this way: If someone is going to use AAS (not under a doctor's care), then they really should use that as momentum to clean up their diet, train as hard as fuck and give themselves proper rest. It would be wasting a golden opportunity to go on a cycle and not stick to some type of all-around regimen to get the moist out of it.

That leads us into mentioning a common mistake made by people who use AAS and that is to use it as a shortcut by not training hard or eating good. They falsely believe that they will get bigger just because of a needle in the ass and that is completely false. What will happen is that they will look smoother and fatter due to the water retention caused by AAS use and not have that hard defined look that is possible.

Natural bodybuilders will never have the mass that their steroid-using brethren can put on and that is fine. Again, it's personal preference. And it's usually pretty obvious when someone claims to be natty when they are clearly not. But who are we to judge?
